Meet Michael G. Ethridge

Michael G. Ethridge is a proud Boerne ISD graduate who walked these halls, sat in these classrooms, and competed on these fields. Now a local businessman and taxpayer advocate, he's running for school board to give back to the community that built him. Boerne raised him. He's ready to serve.

A Businessman, Not a Bureaucrat

Professionally, I'm a local businessman and publisher. I've built companies from the ground up. I've managed budgets, led teams, met payroll, and navigated both growth and setbacks. I understand what it means to be accountable for results. Leadership is not about talking points. It's about stewardship.

I've also been deeply involved in conservative politics for decades. I've worked as a Congressional Staffer in Washington, D.C. and Texas, staffed campaigns, led organizations, and helped drive record voter turnout in Kendall County. I understand how systems work. I understand policy. And I understand that elections matter.

Why I'm Running

Boerne deserves leadership that is transparent, disciplined, and focused on students first. We need strong academics, real workforce preparation, and financial responsibility. We need leaders who will ask hard questions, demand clarity, and remember that these schools belong to the community.

I love this town. I love the families here. I love the idea that a kid sitting in a Boerne classroom right now could one day raise his own family here. That he or she could build a business here, and serve this community—just like I do.

That only happens if we get it right.

This campaign is not about me. It's about stewardship. It's about protecting what works, fixing what doesn't, and ensuring Boerne ISD remains a place that prepares students for real life—not just graduation day.

I was raised here. Educated here. Shaped here.

Boerne is not just where I live. It is the community that built me.

I’m a proud graduate of Boerne ISD. I grew up in these classrooms, walked these halls, competed on these fields. The teachers, mentors, and coaches who invested in me helped shape the man I became. That investment matters. And I believe we owe the next generation the same, if not better.

I am a conservative reformer and a taxpayer advocate. I believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and transparency. When families are tightening their belts, government should too. That includes our school district. We can support teachers, equip students, and pursue excellence without treating taxpayers like an unlimited line of credit.

Professionally, I’m a local businessman and publisher. I’ve built companies from the ground up. I’ve managed budgets, led teams, met payroll, and navigated both growth and setbacks. I’ve also been deeply involved in conservative politics for decades. I’ve worked on campaigns, led organizations, and helped drive record voter turnout in Kendall County. I understand how systems work. I understand policy. And I understand that elections matter.

But I’m not perfect.

I’ve made mistakes in my life. Real ones. The kind that humble you and force you to take a hard look in the mirror. Those lessons shaped me. They deepened my faith. They strengthened my resolve. And they are the reason I pour into young men and women today. I want our students to learn the lessons I did, but without paying the same price.

I’m a devout Christian. My faith guides my decisions, my leadership, and my priorities. I believe character matters. Integrity matters. Standards matter.

Boerne deserves leadership that is transparent, disciplined, and focused on students first. We need strong academics, real workforce preparation, and financial responsibility. We need leaders who will ask hard questions, demand clarity, and remember that these schools belong to the community.

If you believe in strong schools, accountable leadership, and a community that shows up, I’m asking for your vote. And I’m asking you to bring someone with you. Early voting matters. Participation matters.

Boerne raised me. I’m ready to give back.

Students first. Taxpayers respected.
